Political scientist Otis Sanford says that given some Capitol rioters who claim to have been “influenced by the media”, a better understanding of what distinguishes good journalism from political propaganda is needed.

While Tennessee Republicans in the General Assembly consider banning local governments from issuing residence permits for police officers, some Democrats, including Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland, are expressing support.
