WATCH: New attack ad on Perdue says he’s had a career in outsourcing jobs

Share

A new ad posted on Tuesday said Georgia gubernatorial candidate David Perdue built his career by sending jobs elsewhere.

The Georgians First Leadership Committee posted the ad early Tuesday morning with the title America First.

Along with the video, Senior Advisor Cody Hall said, “David Perdue built his career by outsourcing American jobs to Asia, leaving families in financial ruin and making a fortune on the way out. This is not ‘America First’ – David Perdue puts himself and China first. “

The Georgians First Leadership Committee is a Kemp-controlled leadership fund that was founded earlier this year. It stems from a new law that went into effect in 2021 that allows some elected officials to set up funds that can collect unlimited contributions from donors. It differs from a traditional campaign fund for an individual in that the boundaries do not exist and the lead funds can raise contributions during the legislature. Additionally, nonprofits cannot collaborate with a single candidate’s campaign, but a governing body can.

Experts have already predicted that the 2022 gubernatorial elections will be the most expensive in the state’s history. Stacey Abrams’ organization Fair Fight has raised more than $ 100 million since the last election.

To date, six Republicans are running for governor, including:

A libertarian, Shane Hazel, and the Democrat Stacey Abrams are also running.
