Super Bowl advertising: No Budweiser commercial this year, says Anheuser-Busch

The pandemic has severely impacted sales for many Super Bowl advertisers. Given the pricey ads that cost an estimated $ 5.5 million for 30 seconds while it aired on CBS on February 7, some may have decided it wasn’t worth it this year. Coca-Cola, for example, has been hit hard with half of its sales coming from stadiums, cinemas and other normally crowded places that were closed during the pandemic. The company announced layoffs in December and said it would not advertise this year to ensure it is “investing in the right resources in these unprecedented times.”
