The News Literacy Project also offers a program called Checkology, a browser-based platform for students in grades 6 through 12 that helps the next generation easily identify misinformation. Checkology is available free of charge to teachers, students, school districts, and parents. As of 2016, more than 29,000 educators and parents in all 50 states and Washington, DC have registered to use the platform. Since August 2020, more than 1,000 educators and parents as well as more than 34,000 schoolchildren have actively used Checkology.
